We are currently looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to support the execution of a utility-scale photovoltaic project based in Dallas, Texas. This is a field-based role focused exclusively on supervising mechanical works, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Mechanical Supervisor will oversee all mechanical construction activities on-site, ensuring that works are executed according to approved engineering documentation, construction procedures, and project standards.

The role requires close coordination with contractors and internal project teams, maintaining strict control over quality, safety, and schedule performance.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Approve mechanical works procedures, including:

    1. Resource planning

    2. Quality Control Plan

    3. Inspection Point Program (IPP)

    4. Safety measures

  • Supervise mechanical installation activities in accordance with approved engineering and project specifications.

  • Review and validate construction methods and material requirements before execution.

  • Monitor daily progress of mechanical activities, ensuring alignment with project schedule.

  • Supervise and approve (or reject, with technical justification) quality inspections and IPP results related to mechanical works.

  • Immediately report any delay risks, safety risks, or quality deviations, stopping works if necessary to prevent non-compliance.

  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for project control.

  • Report non-compliance from subcontractors and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

  • Support mechanical activities during commissioning phases.

SCOPE OF SUPERVISION

Supervision and approval (or rejection) of mechanical works related to:

  • Tracker installation

  • Module installation

  • Mechanical assembly of support structures

  • Torque verification and alignment

  • Installation of mounting systems

  • Mechanical components of inverter stations

  • Any other mechanical work requested by the Site Manager

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in renewable energy projects (utility-scale PV preferred).

  • Proven experience in:

    1. Supervision of mechanical works in photovoltaic plants

    2. Tracker and module installation

    3. Construction quality control

    4. Construction safety measures in PV projects

  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.

  • Strong understanding of installation tolerances, alignment procedures, and torque specifications.

  • Full availability to work on-site in Dallas, Texas.
